Machine Gun News.  Now out-of-print magazine that covered the Class 3, full-auto world.  These issues are full of interesting articles and great photos of machine-guns and other exotic weapons. Magazine stopped publication in 1997.   Price: $10 per issue.

The Point.  WWII reenactor-based magazine published by the WWII Historical Reenactment Society (HRS).  A great look back on how WWII reenacting was 15-20 years ago.  The Point went out of publication in the late 1990s.  Condition is mostly good though some will have surface wear from USPO mailing.  Price: $2.00 per issue/copy.

The Eagle Has Flown by Jack Higgins.  1st Printing (1991) by Simon & Schuster, 335 pages, hard cover w/dustcover.  If you enjoyed "The Eagle Has Landed," then this book is for you!  Take Liam Devlin (the IRA gunman), some crazed Germans, a pilot from the George Washington Legion, British fascists, and others, mix it all together, and you are in for a wild ride as they all try to get Col. Steiner out of England.  It's actually a good book, though highly implausible.  Price: $5.00
 
Don't Go Near The Water by William Brinkley.  1st Printing (1956) by Random House, 373 pages, hardback with dustjacket.  This novel is about the antics of naval officers assigned to a Public Relations unit in the Pacific in WWII.  Was the basis for the Glenn Ford movie of the same name.  Excellent and funny book about WWII REMFs.  Price: $10.00

Small Arms of the World (10th Revised Edition) by Joseph E. Smith and W.H.B. Smith. Published by Stackpole Company, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, 1973.  Over 768 pages with hindreds of photos and breakdown diagrams of hundreds of military small arms, hardback with dust cover, very excellent condition (looks to be almost unused).  Considered by many to be one of the very best references in military small arms.  Price:  $50.00  SOLD!

Fortress America: The Forts That Defended America, 1600 to the Present by J.E. Kaufmann & H.W. Kaufmann. 1st Printing (2004) by Da Capo Press, 416 pages with many photographs and illustrations.  This hardback book cover the entire spectrum of US military forts from the early days of coastal forts up to the nuclear bunkers of today.  An excellent tome that should be in any military historians library!  Price: $25.00
 
Mighty Midgets At War (The Saga of the LCS(L) Ships from Iwo Jima to Vietnam by Robin Rielly. 1st Printing (2000) by Hellgate Press, 300 pages with many photographs and illustrations.  This softback covers the use and history of converted Landing Ships into anti-aircraft "gunboats" that took on the WWII Japanese suicide attacks and into the "Cold War."  A really great book on the history of small ships that went "in harms way."  Price: $15.00
 
Harlem's Hell Fighters by Stephen Harris.  1st Edition (2003) by Potomac Books; 302 pages; large paperback, good condition (slight wear on front cover).  A very-well written book on the history of the 369th Infantry Regiment in WWI and the struggle of the African-Americans who made up the unit prior to, during, and after the war.  A great book on a great unit.  Price:  $10.00
 
The Concise Guide to American Aircraft of World War II by David Mondey.  1st American Printing (1996) by Smithmark Publishers; 256 pages; hardback, good condition (slight wear to cover).  Excellent reprint of a 1982 text that covered almost every plane the US military used (or tried to use) in WWII.  A great reference work for model builders and historians.  Price: $10.00
 
Impact: The Army Air Forces "Confidential" Picture History of WWII, Volume 4.  Published by the Historical Times, Inc., 2nd Printing (1982); hardback, very good condition.  Excellent reprint of some of the USAAF's wartime magazine "Impact" that was distributed to higher levels.  Many great photos and articles from WWII.  Great reference material.  Price:  $15.00
 
Ike's Last Battle: The Battle of the Ruhr Pocket by Charles Whiting.  Published by Pen & Sword (2002); 224 pages; hardback w/dustcover.  Detailed account of the last big American offensive in Europe.  Good read.  Price: $5.00
 
The Ship That Would Not Die by Becton and Morschauser.  Published by Prentice Hall (1980); 288 pages and photo section; hardback (no dustcover).  The USS Laffey (DD724) was a WWII destroyer that survived kamikaze attacks off Okinawa and survived despite it's near destruction.  One of the best accounts of bravery at sea.  Price:  $10.00
 
No End Save Victory edited by Robert Cowley.  Published by Putnam Books (2001); 688 pages, hardback w/dustcover.  Large collection of essays and works by historians to include Stephen Ambrose, John Keegan, William Manchester and others.  One of the best collections of writings on WWII history.  Price:  $10.00
 
Power at Sea by Lisle A. Rose.  3-volume set published by the University of Missouri Press (2007), approx. 360+ pages per volume, softbacks with box.  Large indepth history of the US Navy from 1890 to 2006.  The three volumes are "The AAge of Navalism," " The Breaking Storm," and "A Violent Peace."  An excellent work that would be great for the naval historian.  Price:  $15.00
 
Brave Men by Ernie Pyle.  8th Printing (February 1945) by Henry Holt and Company; 328 pages; no dust cover; hardback, good condition. A great WWII book by a man who lost his life while covering WWII.  Price: $10.00
 
Gunner's Mate by Bob Galati.  1st Printing (1993) by Innovatia Press, Inc., 123 pages, soft cover, good condition.  An excellent first-person memoir of service with the Naval Armed Guard in WWII.  Autographed by the author.  Price: $10.00
 
The Landings in North Africa - November 1942 by the Naval Historical Center 1993 Reprint of 1st Edition (1944) by the Department of the Navy, Washington, D.C., 113 pages, softcover.  This reprint of a WWII-era book is a well-done report on the US Navy's operations for the TORCH invasion of North Africa in 1942.  The book details the problems and successes of the operation. Excellent read for the WWII naval historian.  Price: $10.00
 
Soldiers of World War I.  Published by the West Point Museum,  publishing date unknown; 8-1/2x5-1/2 inches; Each color plate is a post card showing US, Belgian, French, English, Italian, Russian, Austrian and German soldiers with detaliled info about their uniforms and equipment printed on the back.  Price: $5.00
