Books (fiction)
All books are in good condition unless otherwise noted.
H.M Corvette by Nicholas Monsarrat (Lieutenant RNVR). 1st Printing
(1943) by The Mercury Library, 128 pages, soft cover. Written by the author of "The Cruel Sea" this well-written
semi-fictional book covers the early part of the naval war between the small corvettes of the Royal Navy and the German U-Boats. The
edition was printed for the Armed Services and would make an excellent addition to the WWII reenactor or collector of WWII
Naval stories. Price: $10.00
The Caine Mutiny by Herman Wouk. 1st Printing (1951) by Doubleday, 494
pages, hardback w/o dustjacket. This novel (which was the basis of the Bogart/ Van Johnson movie) is about the
events leading up to and the "mutiny." The book's ending is FAR different than the movie's.
One of the best novels about WWII. Price: $10.00
